In this latest newsletter, we’re excited to share how the summer of 2024 was an incredibly fruitful season for Live the Life Central Florida. Our programs and outreach efforts reached new heights, and we are eager to highlight some of the impactful work that took place.
Adventures in Marriage (AIM) Courses
Throughout the summer, we saw remarkable turnouts at each Adventures in Marriage course. Over 150 individuals across Central Florida participated in these transformative seminars, designed to strengthen marriages and provide couples with practical tools to build lasting, healthy relationships. We were also thrilled to take AIM to Andy and Kristi’s hometown of Norfolk, Nebraska, where we conducted a pilot program to generate interest in an Adventures in Marriage Midwest tour scheduled for early 2025.
True North Student Program & Summer Camp
This summer also marked the exciting launch of our True North student program. We kicked off this initiative by partnering with the Boys and Girls Club in Sanford, FL, to teach the eight-session Real Essentials course. This curriculum, which has been gaining momentum throughout the state of Florida, focuses on equipping young people with the tools to build healthy relationships, make wise decisions, and navigate the challenges of adolescence.
In addition to the True North program, we launched our inaugural week-long Live the Life Summer Camp for students ages 10 to 19. The camp offered a balance of fun and educational activities, including beach volleyball, arts and crafts, fishing, and board games. Most importantly, students completed both the Real Essentials and Money Matters courses, which helped them develop essential life skills for healthy relationships, financial literacy, and planning for a successful future. We are already looking forward to making this an annual event!
Hope Weekend Intensive Marriage Program
Our Hope Weekend intensive marriage program continued to make a significant impact by helping couples in crisis find hope and avoid divorce. The program provided valuable support for couples facing challenges, empowering them to rebuild their relationships and strengthen their commitments to one another.
Start Smart Program for Engaged Couples
We also had the privilege of working with a number of engaged couples through our Start Smart program. This pre-marital course equips couples with the tools and insights they need to build a strong foundation for their marriage and navigate the early stages of married life with confidence.
International Outreach
Building on our 2023 trip to Puerto Rico, we are thrilled to announce that we are in the early stages of planning an international outreach trip to Asia. This initiative aims to strengthen marriages and families globally, and we look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.
